An air sampling system (ASD) draws air samples continuously from the monitored area through a pipe system fitted with sampling holes at regular intervals. The sampled air is then analysed for smoke particles and an alarm is raised if smoke is present. It is particularly designed to protect high risk; high value locations where very early detection is essential.
